“Water filling stations” rarely deliver the desired drinking water quality that we are used to. The loss of water quality is usually due to insufficient treatment by the public water supplier – especially in southern and outside Europe. It is only in rare cases that the water is of the quality required to be able to use it for personal hygiene or even in the kitchen. On the other hand, even if the drinking water is of sufficient quality, there is a risk of contamination after just a few hours, since the storage times in the tank (topic “stagnant water”), coupled with the warm ambient temperature, cause new germs to settle, which thrive in your fresh water system and this in the long term contaminate. We at WM aquatec are true masters when it comes to providing you with perfect water under the conditions mentioned – in the bathroom under the shower, in the kitchen to prepare food or in the jacuzzi on the sun deck.

In addition to the right treatment technologies, maintenance of the fresh water system plays an essential role in ensuring hygienic operation. Based on the German Standard DIN 2001-2, we recommend cleaning intervals as follows:
When using the fresh water system exclusively “on vacation” and tanked tap water quality: 1-2 x annually . For long-term travel and treatment of surface water: 2-4 x annually (cascade filtration and a second disinfection stage provided).
The pre-filtration of the water with a PP filter element when filling the fresh water tank prevents dirt from entering the fresh water system and thus offers fewer bioavailable nutrients for germs that have entered.
Automatic preservation of water with each new tank fill using the proven silver ion technology of the Silvernet in the tank keeps water fresh while reducing germ growth and biofilm formation throughout the fresh water system.

Our pressure diaphragm pump offers a high flow rate (11.6 l/min open flow) with pulsation-free operation. Thanks to the 4-chamber membrane technology and fully rubberized anti-vibration feet, it works very quietly. The pressure switch as well as the bypass control are adjustable. A stainless steel pre-filter screen and hose connectors are included.
Pollutants and flavors are retained by adsorption on the activated carbon filter. These include, for example, pesticides, heavy metals and chlorine. At the same time, the filter with a fineness of 10µm (0.01mm) protects the downstream, fully automatic UV disinfection unit from dirt and suspended particles.
The combination filter element combines sterile filtration and an activated carbon block with a wide range of adsorption of pollutants and low pressure loss at the same time. Among other things, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), TOCs (total organic carbons), heavy metals, turbidity, suspended particles and particles down to filter fineness, taste-impairing substances and chlorine are removed.

The water to be disinfected is irradiated with short-wave UV light in the range of 240-290 nanometers. The genetic information of the microorganisms contained in the DNA absorbs the energy of the UV-C radiation and is destroyed in the process. Viruses and bacteria can be effectively inactivated and prevented from multiplying by means of UV-C radiation. This purely physical process enables the water to be sterilized (up to 99.999%) without the use of chemical disinfectants.
